Getting a pin-on hood, and I need to know some things
Okay, I think that I am going to get a pin-on hood. I need to know how to fasten it. I have heard things from Dzeus fasteners all around, to 8 hood pins to only 4 hood pins. Can someone please help me out and tell me the best way? I don't really want Dzeus fasteners all around. If anyone has a pin-on hood and pics of the car without the hood on it, I would greatly appreciate it if you could email them to me. Thanks for your time guys.

I am looking at picking up a VFN pin on hood this spring as well. I will let you know what they tell me as far as pin placement etc.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Getting a pin-on hood, and I need to know some things
There is alot of pro's and cons to both.
I personally want to run 4 hood pins in the front with the stock hinges in the back. Reason for the four.
1-Easy to unclip and open hood FAST. In case of fire, or something bad.
2- Holds down sides and middle of hood. I don't want the center of the hood to bend up and suck air in possibly causing hood to ruin.
3- Ease of install.
Down side of pins is they are very in your face looking. You will not miss them as they imo ruin the lines of the hood.
Dzeus fasteners.
Very clean look. Can almost make them non exsistant in the car. Looks very nice.
Downsides.
1-Pain to setup and have everything look top notch IMO.
2-Paint can get scratched easily if some freind helps and slips while taking off fasterners with a screwdriver and ruins your new paint job on hood.
3-In emergency is hard to open hood quickly
Looks Gotta be the dzeus fasterners HANDS DOWN.
Function both win
Ease of use pins.
Lots of choices to make though
