Re: What shifter are you guys getting rid of pro 5.0 for? I've driven plenty of Ripper cars, and the Pro5.0 is still my favorite. The last two Ripper owners I've let drive a Pro5.0 car sold their Rippers. Those B&Ms just feel "notchy" in comparison.

Re: What shifter are you guys getting rid of pro 5.0 for? I've seen a lot of people post about the noise from the Pro 5.0 as a reason to get rid of it. When I installed mine, I made a rubberized gasket for it and it sounds no different from the stock shifter. Absolutely no noise at all. I really like the Pro 5.0, but I have no experience with the Ripper.

Re: What shifter are you guys getting rid of pro 5.0 for? Shifters do not make noise. They transmit noise. The transmission is what makes the noise. I've removed a shifter that was perfectly quiet in one car and installed it in another car and it was very loud. Same shifter, different vehicle.
All of these billet shifters are built nearly identical, and all will transmit noise. Some are quiet, some are loud.

Re: What shifter are you guys getting rid of pro 5.0 for? I have a Hurst Billet Plus that I love. I don't like the B&M it is way to notchy. I've never tried the Pro 5.0 so I can't say I like the Hurst better than it but I do love the Hurst.
