Default TH350/3.23's track results!

I finally took a few hours off work and dragged my Camaro out to Irwindale raceway. I didn't set any world records, but I was surprised how well the car ran considering. I'm now running a TH350 with 3.23 gears and the stock shifter. With a raceweight of 3300# (Spring break trim), I ran a 6.75@102.8 and 6.73 @102.7 (going through the traps in 2nd gear). I didn't really push the car off the line, but managed a 1.52 60' time with the 3.23s. 1st gear feels like it lasts FOREVER! I kinda like it.

I'm going to stick with the 3.23s for now, so my only main change before spring break will be adding a 3.5" catback, and maybe a new set of tires.

PS. My motor is still for sale.

Congrats

How is the car on the highway?
Did you launch off the transbrake? How firm are the shifts?
Cheers,
Chris

I don't have a trans brake, but on the highway the RPMS are the same as the 4L60E/4.10 combo. It shifts nice and firm.

Sounds good!

Did you figure out why the car wasn't pulling on the dyno? I guess so, what was it?

Pat: Some PCM issue. MMS loaded an M6 program in and did a little tuning, and it took care of it. I still need to go back for more tuning though.

Chris: I didn't buy a transbrake because I wanted an automatic valve body. I don't believe it would 60' much better with one. I do think I'll be able to sneak in to the 1.4s in this trim though. Hopefully good enough for 10.40s.

Heh as soon as someone buys my 396 maybe I'll throw another stock shortblock in and show you guys what a real heads/cam setup can do.

Hey JS are you coming out to the Spring Shootout? I'm looking forward to racing some Cartek cars.
