Default HRP Sunday Track Times! How was I?

I went to the track for the first time. Never been so I was a Virgin. I was alittle upset but here it goes. Everything was on 315 Nittos. I had a hard time hooking if I tried to stall over 2000-2300rpm. If I stalled 1800 I got good 60ft times, but it hurt my 1/4 times. I ran several bad runs with alot of wheel spin. Here are my 4 best runs. Running weight 3855 lbs
60ft 1.7
1/8 7.8
1/4 12.1
113.24

60ft 1.7
1/8 7.7
1/4 12.1
112.72
I sprayed twice. First time right off the line and I shut it down early by mistake. Major tire spin on spray!
60ft 1.9
1/8 7.8
1/4 12.0
108.59
60ft 1.9
1/8 7.7
1/4 11.7
120.0
My wife watched the video`s and decide to let me get some E/T Streets. I was not getting good traction off the line stalling high. So what do you think for a beginner. I think 11.9 on motor with some E/T`s. And maybe 10.9-11.0 on spray. I can`t wait to get the tires. O`yea I got in-trouble for running 11.7 with no cage. So I didn`t run again on the bottle. Besides I spun so bad the car would shift up and when I hooked it down shifted again off the line. Well it was a good learning day. I can`t wait until the next time. Pratice-Pratice! Let me know what you think.

That's really pretty good for drag radials. The ET streets will help tremendously. I have a set of 26x11.5-15s for sale if you are interested. I went with ET Drags. I am tired of spinning. It's all going to come together for you. You have seen that cars full potential yet. Congrats!!!!

Great job for your 1st time to the track. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Better tires will help ya out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Come out on Saturday and get you some bracket racing. You will hook! <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Have fun. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Some HALs up front might help you out too, but one way or the other you gotta get that weight down <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Damn Dave 3850 pounds? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I also believe in fat car racing... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Those are definitely not bad for your first time at the track....A BIG burnout and 20 psi may help some with the nittos. All you need is a little cold air and practice and 11's on motor are in the bag. With the ET streets or drags 10's on spray, no problemo...
