Default Having to scew the tires to the rim,any problems?

Looks like the new TCS converter hits hard lol. I have been having major tire spin at the track. I have tried tire psi from 10-17 and nothing works. If i leave off idle the tires (26x10 ET Drags) hit then seem to float (spin) through frist gear in a straight line then hook after the 2nd gear shift. I recently had the tires glued to the rim before my last track visit and spun them on the rim on my 4th pass and was probably spinning them little by little up to then. It looks like im going to screw the tires to the rims. I plan to tap 5 screws in on the inside of the wheels and im pretty sure this will lock the tires on the rim without spinning. Any tips on the amount of screws or if i should screw the tires to the rim from the outside and inside of the rim Vs. just doing the inside of the rim?

This is what MT recommends. Go to the tech bulletins.

http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/

I installed 8 on the inside and 8 on the outside. All of them on the flat part of the rim and not the angled position as in MT directions.

Good luck <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Well, I got the screws from Summit and I called Summit Tech line and they told me to use 13/64 " drill bit. It worked <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
