Default Yes,they will fit.-Weld 15x10/7.5 BS-PITA

PITA,I had Weld 8x10s on with caliper grinding done,no biggie. Now here is where it gets weird,I used a buddys 15x10/7.5 BS Welds at the track and they fit fine, just pulled off my 8" and bolted on his 10".

So,I order new Weld 15x10s-7.5 BS and they dont fit at all.I mean when I bolted them on and jacked the car down it felt like my line lock was on,no go.

After mucho grinding they fit perfect,no spacer. They tuck in real nice.I will try to post some pics of my reground calipers later.I did not remove the jounce spacer.

I have to wonder if Weld changed something on the newer rims.BTW,I run Hoosier 26x10x15 Drag Slicks.

Good info John, I have a brand new set of 15" X 10" with 7.5" back spacing up at Burt's getting my new slicks mounted. I'll be sure and check to see if they need more grinding. My calipers are ground for 6.5" back spacing. HMMM

I had the same problem with the front. I had 3.5" weld DL rims on the front with the 5/16" spacer. I put a set of 5" weld DL rims on for street use. Well, the calipers needed ground down even with the spacer. I have since ground the fronts to fit the 3.5" rims without the spacer. I then tried the 5" and they needed ground mucho more. They both fit without the spacer now.

I'll be picking up my new rims at Burt's this week and I'll let you know whats up.

I have 15x10 prostars in the rear w/7.5" backspacing...that was a pain in the A$$ to get them to fit in there...I'm running 27x11.5x15 Hoosier QTP's....

Figure a solid 45 mins of grinding on each side...and they still don't fit w/out a spacer because the tire wants to rub the bump stops on the inside, which are also gone..

I bought extended studs to make sure I won't have a problem running the spacer....

John, I was advised to take the bump stops off. I did. I unbolted them and ground off the mounting bracket. No biggie.

The tires are mounted, I need to pick them up.

I'll get those baby's on the car this week some time.

give me a call anytime bro.

Tom,please let me know how yours fit.I have to call you soon to shoot the breeze.

I am a bit concerned with those bump stops on a hard launch.I only tested it out in front of my house, couple easy launches with no problem.

I think the tires will "grow" a bit going down the track.Hell,I will remove the bump stops.

Tom, just an FYI but make sure you get open end lugs if you don't have them already. Pittsburgh Raceway Park wants to see your studs through the lugs. Someone lost a wheels last year and now they are cracking down.

I have them front and rear. My studs are soo long they stick out past the open lug nut about 1/8" to 1/4". The only thing that is not legal on my car is the flex plate and no one makes one. Bummer. I have a SFI damper too.

John, Burt mounted the 28" slicks and dropped them off last night. I'll put them on the car and take some pics within the next few days. I rim screwed them and installed tubes also.

Tom,that is good, let me know how they fit.I will unbolt the bump stop and grind the bracket.I would think as the tire grows or on a hard launch the stop could hit the tire.

coolguy, you need to mark your rotor with[I used spray paint]or a magic marker.Mount the rim tight enough to slightly rub then look where paint/marker is worn
and grind.Go slow and keep painting/checking,get one side done and the other will go real quick.

With your 8"they should fit easy after grinding.

Tony,Nineball had some good pictures a long time ago but if you use the above method it is not to hard.

I just fit some Hole Shot wheels, 15X11's off my Mustang on my car. 28" tires too. I had to grind off the bump stop mounting area and grind the caliper. None the less they fit and look badass.

I just ordered a set of Draflites 90 series for the track. I had the 15x10 with 7.5 backspace and a 5/16 spacer. Also for the front where 15x3.5 with 1.75 backspacing with a 5/16 spacers also. I hope to not have to grind on the front. And just alittle on the back. I`m running 26x11.5-15 on back! Need the traction bad!

I have 15x10 Pro Stars in back, no spacers. I spent too much time grinding the caliper face, most of the grinding was needed at the edge when it goes from the face to the sides... Just cover them in grease or marker or whatever and tq them down and turn them a bit... I took the rubber off the bump stop and then bent the bump stop in, and also deburred the front metal, and also banged out the top inner part where the tires would rub just a little bit... It's all pretty obvious.

ProStock, nice pics.Do you have suspension limiters on the front?Bad *** launch.BTW,you are right on grinding the edge not the face, need to round the edge over.

I took a good look at my bump stop and with the 26" tire there is a lot of space.I will still remove it,why take a chance.

CAUTION,wear EYE protection when GRINDING,my son in law took off his for a second and bang metal in eye.He got it out but it could have been bad.

No limiters my car has been too heavy to wheelstand like the other guys...

You have to grind the face, but the edge is a bigger deal.
