BFG DR`s hold this 4400, stock internal car???
Do you guys think a set of BFG 275/50-15 DR`s mounted on 15x10`s will hold this TCI 4400 behind a stock internal motor? My only bolt-ons are Hooker LT`s & ORY, lid and a cut-out. The STR on the TCI is like 2.8 and I`m still running the stock 3.23`s. No traction mods at this time except for boxed stock LCA`s, poly T/A & trans mount. What do you think, hook or ?

I run 275/50/15's on a heads and cam car and I've had no problems hooking..IMOP and I'm talking experiance with my car only the tires dead hook in most any kind of weather..I've been on really good tracks and some not so good tracks and the tires are very consistant..
Plus I've had this set on the car since last October and there is still plenty of tread left on them after 4000 miles..

Thanks for the replys fellas. Do you get that radial tire "Wheel hop" with the BFG DR`s? I heard someone say that most wheel hop goes away when you go to a bias ply tire. Does this apply to drag radials? I`m also trying to avoid the "washy" motion associated with using bias ply rear tires and wide radial fronts. Plus, I can only afford a set of rear rims and tires right now (damn tax man ) but I will be buying some skinnys down the road and at that time I`ll probably go with ET Streets or Hoosier QTP`s out back.

Yes, you can wheel hop with the BFg's, stiffer shock settings helped me avoid NE wheel hop. As for the "washy" feeling, I have never personally felt this when running the 1/4mi using ET'S and radial fronts. If NE thing, i can comment on the "searching" where the ET'S try to find the groove and feels like it is floating slightly, but it is not from the radial/bias combo. It is present with DR's also when you use lower tire pressure. IMHO I would say get the rear rims, ET'S and later add your skinnies, it will save you money in the shorter long run. I just took my Nitt's off, the drivers side was literally showing the polyester thread in the center-had about 108 runs w/ a NICE burnout before abuot 85% of them, and I also ran them everyday, on top of the track runs, they lasted about 5months and 7k miles. I now have a set of ETs and Skinnies and cant wait to hit the track this weekend! Good-luck. Charlie.

on a well prepped track yes.. but it takes driver skill. You have play with the launch, throttling off the line, and etc.
i made nittos hook to a 1.58 stock internal on a vig3600 with 3.23's. Do a nice burnout and run 18-20psi in them
put those LCA's on the car!

Would I be better off going with a 26x9.5-16 Hoosier QTP or M/T ET Street mounted on the stock rims, from a cost per ET perspective? Here is what I am contimplating:
(A) 26x9.5-16 ET Street/Hoosier QTP on stock wheels and stock wheels/tire up front.
(B) 275/50-15 BFG DR`s on a light weight rim with stock fronts.
(C) 26x9.5-16 ET Street/Hoosier QTP on stock rear wheels and a pair of 15x4" skinnies on front (track only) with the short belt mod in full effect.
Which of the above would you guys say would produce the lowest ET`s per dollar?
