PAIN is alive
After many hours of Boo building a harness for the LS1 FAST system and the creation of the crank trigger wheel mounted behind the balancer Pain fired off on the first crank. Alot of tuning is left but ITS ALIVE!!!!!

I won't be attending the SBSO. I have to sign up for days off like months in advance. The reschedule forced me to eat it on the time I had already scheduled off, and I couldn't get vacation time on the new date.
The car may still be there, but it will take a miracle for me to be there.
P.S. I won't be at the North-South shootout...getting married

Re: PAIN is alive
madman or pain, are you using edis coils??? if so, how hard was that to wire up?
i am thinking of getting a gen 7 dfi and trying to make it work on a ls1.

Pain.....I'll be looking for video #2 at the end of this season. It'll probably out-do the first (minus the wheel stands).

they said they have a 2800 hp twin turbo setup running on it and its even very tame as far as drivability.
the gen 7 has an output for the edis coils on the lt4 setup. i wonder if there is a way to just plug up the 2 coil packs and get the crank signal and cam signal so you can fire it sequentially.

Re: PAIN is alive
The EDIST is essentialy just a distributor. It uses a signal from the cam and crank shaft position indicators and fires the coil packs. It should'nt be a problem to use it with the Gen 7. The EDIST comes with a universal harness and instructions. I used part of the factory harness(the part that is attached to the coil packs) and wired it all into the factory weather pack connectors that plug into the coil pack harness. Was'nt too tough and the install comes out very clean.

Go check out www.turbobuick.com . Craig from F.A.S.T. posts in the computer upgrade section on thier forum. He can answer any specific question that you may have and was very helpfull with all of my questions when I was installing my system. BTW I am selling my system with EDIST, if you are interested PM me and I'll give you the specifics.
