How much do v6 springs help with the launch? I am looking to drop my 60' down some more. 1.70 on 16 in e.t. streets. I have hals in the front, no front swaybar, spohn ta, lca's with relocation brackets, and slp stb and phr. |
15" wheels and tires will help you more than V6 early 4th gen rear springs. The springs gave me .03 over my stockers...1.70 to 1.67. That's with 8.5" ET Drags and Vig 3200 w/3.23's....WJ |

Weight transfer does not mean body squat. In a proberly set up launch suspension, the body should rise while the suspension pushes the rear end down. If softer springs were the answer, why do people run air bags in the rear springs. |
I spoke w/Jay on this subject as well. He suggested either stock, or Trans Am convertible springs....That's for a car making 400+ hp. My motor is stock, including the c.i. exhaust manifolds. I dyno only 345 hp. I ran the V6 springs and the stock springs, both w/rt. side air bag at 12-20 psi. (depending on track conditions). The V6 were always .03 better than the stock rear springs. Low 12.30's, low 109 mph, 1.67 sixties best. 3.23's, Vig 3200, and 26-8.5x15 ET Drags. I'm only trapping 4500 rpm... Wish I could get 3.50's for a 10 bolt....It'd be perfect for my combo... WJ |

Don't run a softer spring in the rear. What are your QA1s set on? |

I meant the guy who started the thread. I thought I was going crazy for a second. |
I do not have hal's in the rear. I was thinking about getting some though. |
