Default woo hoo my car is a two seater again.

I got my passenger race seat in this weekend. I also put in a seat to cross bar brace on each seat (you can kind of see it between the seat belts). It looks alot better with both seats in. its a little uncomfortable getting out of it though. oh well.

Looks sweet, man. I think that is the way my interior will turn out. How do you like those seats on a daily driver?

VERY nice for daily driving. but i still need to swiss cheese them. i think i can lose another 5 lbs per seat and hopefully it will provide some breathing too cause it gets hot in Texas without A/C.
also since everything is aluminum i'm going to weld the seat, bracket and rear brace all together to get rid of all the bolts holding all three trogether, theres another couple lbs.

Is it possible to run the kirkey seats without a rollbar to attach the back of the seat to? Is the seat strong enough?

i had mine with out the brace for about a week and it felt pretty strong but it did flex back a little, when ever i lifted my self up by just streching my legs the back of the seat felt like it would give a little, but now thats it fixed to the bar it fells stiff as hell . as long as you secure it very well on the bracket you could get by. but i think to be NHRA IHRA legal, any after market seat has to be braced to a cross bar. and better safe than sorry.
