Do you have to change the wheel studs or can you use the stock ones with pro stars?

because the stock studs don't come all through the wheel, so nhra requires longer studs. Most tracks don't check/care though.

They have among the widest center sections of any wheel out there needing the longest lugs that are manufactured.

It is unsafe to use the stock studs especially when you use spacers. Spacers are necessary unless you grind quite a bit from the calipers which I don't recommend due to the amount that is necessary to remove so there is no interference.

Your relying soley on the thin shank portion of the lug to hold the wheel on not the actual hex portion of the lug...not a good idea. Even 2.5" long studs don't pass tech with spacers on the wheels.

Studs are not expensive, run the wheels correctly.
