Reaction time Q's

Alright I searched and dident find what I was looking for so here it goes
If im at the local 1/4 mile track for test and tune day (just running for the hell of it) and I line up with lets say a 5.0 stang and the light goes green and he takes off and I sit there for like 2 secs and he runs a 12.9, and after those 2 secs I take off, will my time be like what ever it normily be + the 2secs I was sitting at the tree or would the start when I started? thats my question. dose reaction time matter? like if i had a .700 reaction time and ran a 12.6 would my time be a 12.7 if i had had a .800 reaction time? someone plz help lol

Reaction time has nothing to do with ET. The reaction time is just how long it took you to move. It's not added into the ET.

You can hit a perfect light and run a 12.6 or you can sit there for 30 seconds and still run a 12.6.

the clock starts when you leave. Reaction time has NO effect on ET.

The ET timer doesn't start until you roll out of the beams. The reaction timer starts at the last yellow(.500 is perfect) or the green ( .000 is perfect)
