Light weight carpet
I received my custom made to order lightweight molded show carpet today. Looks sick and total weight is around 12lbs-this is with cover for rear seats and deck! Will post up a thread on it here and in appearance section when I install it and the kirkeys next weekend. That's all for now.
Sorry guys, I posted up my own thread on it after installing the NEON RED carpet and red ultra sheild road race seats. Since there is no backing I need to spray some adhesive to make it set in a little better. Got it from stockinteriors.com Just call and ask for scott if I remember correctly and get the 1 piece carpet w/no backing or jute padding. It weighed in at 12lbs!
that doesn't look that bad at all. Black woudl probably show teh few wrinkles that it has even less, and a little spray adhesive, or even some weights in the rear seat area would probably pull it a little tighter until the sun hit it and gave it a chance to conform a little better.

They have "special" neon colors available which cost $30 more or so and that's what I got. He promptly sent me 4 different red carpet samples and I chose the one that closely matched the seats. Anyway, with the additional cost and shipping I think I remember paying $280. I had to make the cuts for the console which was no biggie and it covers where the back seats were. The main reason it isn't sitting flat on the deck is because I did a fuel pump door mod and the flap is standing up under the carpet. the carpet just laid right in as soon as I put it in the car. BTW I'll eventually have a completely RED interior, just takin it one step at a time.
So the carpet would be 250 shipped if it was a regular coloer, like Black? hmmm, not only does that seem cheaper tehn any of the other LW carpet ( molded ones, not the do it yourself felt ) it also is at least as light. I'll be calling them when I'm ready to replace mine for sure. I also like the fact that it's not cut for the console, as I wanted to remove mine completely and just have the shifter there, this will make doing that alot easier. 
Does anyone know how much carpet you would actually need with that Flex Form stuff? Like how much would I have to order? Do people have it in the hatch too? Or is it just 1 piece that will cover the entire interior?
