Slightly bigger cam worth 2/10ths?
I'm currently set up to swap my cam from the TR227 to a TR230. The TR227 has given me some good times, but I really want a nice heathy lope. The TR230 that they sent actually has .581 lift on the intake . With the swap I'll be up-grading the oil pump(ls6) & rod bolts so I can spin it up some more. Planning to adjust the shift point from 6800 to 7k. But will try that at the track to confirm improvement or not. Do you think I can get 2/10ths out of it?
Thanks
Thanks

2/10ths would be in the LSA. A lower LSA will make the car hit harder out of the hole.
I would think your cam swap is worth 4-8 rwhp(on a perfect tune), not worth the time and money IMO.
If you had the same cam, lowered the LSA from say 114 to 110(and stuck it) it would
be worth about 1.5 tenths.

Thanks guys, I figure with well over 100-passes with my current set up I should replace my stock timing chain, oil pump, 918's & rod bolts. So might as well up the cam, was hopeing the lower LSA would help and the higher shift point has always lowered my et's in the past.
