top speed with 4.56's and 28's

Default top speed with 4.56's and 28's

i have a 98 z28 with fast 90 90 t rex cam 1 7/8 koooks headers th 350 with a 306 first gear with a 8 inch 5500 verter with a trans brake 12 bolt with a spool and 4.56's with a 28 10.5 15 et drag....the car makes 405 rwhp with a 460 foot pounds tq...car sits at 2832 pounds...this is a cam only car..i shift at 7000 to 7200....do you think i can make it down the 1/4 mile or will i need a taller tire....i juss run 1/8 mile so im juss curious to see if i wanna run the 1/4 if i can make it or not...or will have to go to a taller tire

125 mph in third gear @ about 7K rpm's.

I had this combo. I had the rev limited set at 7200 and hit it right before I crossed the line.

I was gonna say ask Dragaholic, but he's running a 29.5" tire. His combo is similar to yours.

If you hit the rev limit right before the finish, it's not going to hurt the ET much at all, just ride it out! Might hurt the MPH a little, but if you mostly run 1/8 I would not change anything for an occasional 1/4 blast.

if you're able to lock the converter and assuming the tires grow a half inch on the top end you should be able to hit 135 at 7200

With the TH350 and a 4000 stall hitting the limiter I ran 124 and some change.
