Default Single fan wiring

I switched to a single 16in fan setup to save a little weight. The 16in fan was 7lb less than the stock dual setup.

What would be the best way to wire in the fan? Should I just wire it in with one of the factory fan wires, and let the computer controll when it turns on and off? Or, should I just hard wire it in, so it turns on when the the motor is running.

I have mine wired in on the ignition switch with a relay and fuse. It runs all the time when the car is on and then I set my fans to 'come on' at 300* so the SES light isnt coming on.
SO far this has worked. But it would be just as easy to wire it in with the current fan wiring and set the PCM to control it, and the fuses, relays are all there.

you can use this, the fan will come on at the 'low' or 'high' setting when wired like this. Thats how I have my fan wired..
