Default Just incase of broken 10 bolt

If we break another 10 bolt we have a backup ready. Just came in this afternoon.

That's an expensive backup plan . I wouldn't mind it either way.

You shouldn't break it with 3.73s and an auto unless you are leaving off a brake. I have gone high tens with my 10 bolt and not a single problem.

I did the same thing, until i seen one break and all the extra damadge it caused.. After that it wasnt in reserve anymore..

I have seen autos blow 10bolts and there was no t-brake involved

some are lucky others are not...I must have some luck as I have never broken one that I couldn't drive home on. But that day will come I'm just waiting.

Update

We finally got around to weighing the Strange 12 bolt. The dry weight of the complete rearend is 175 lbs.
The 12 bolt was ordered with lightweight steel spool with 3.73's, ultra light axle flanges, 33 spline axles, Strange drag racing brakes, alum. cover and narrowed 2 1/2 inches on each side.
