Default cant beat the 13's any ideas?

I just started going to the strip a month ago, my best time was 13.5 i dunno why.
I mean im not launching hard off the line bc of worries of spinning.
mods are pacesetter ceramic lt, ory, lid, full lenght exhaust.
Im just wondering bc i'v heard people stock running low 13's
any ideas why running so bad?
thanks
J

The key is to keep practicing. I've gone 13.5 with a lid and pulleys. try to launch a little harder. What kind of tires do you have on there?

First time to the track, you can't expect to run your best, especially if you're a 6 speed car. What did your 60' times look like? And are you 6 speed or auto? Since your name says Sunset Orange I assume you have a 01-02 car

The trick to getting good times out of a car is that you have to drive it like you stole it.
Babying it off the line and shifting it easy will not get good ets. You need to launch it as hard as you can without blowing away the tires and shift it as fast as you can and don't short shift, wait 'till it almost hits the limiter.

if you want to go fast, you have to accept the fact that you might break parts.

drive it like you stole it!

no other way otherwise it is pointless to go to the track. drive it hard!
