what will improve my 60 foot?haaaaiiilp pliiieez
Just came from the track first 3 runs on the new motor, to tell you the truth, i’ma bit disappointed, my new setup is custom cam, pp heads 59cc, th400 ATI 5500 , 4.3 gears. made best of 11.4@120 1.6 60 foot , the car weight about 3100 bl , the car is not in a perfect shape , the injectors are running 108% duty cycle, I have ls6 will switch to 90/90 soon, the trans hits the rev limiter many times in 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd ,and i did not tune the car yet but i had the g5x3 which is a simialr cam so.... I know I could do better next time when I fix these problems but my main concern is the 60ft, I have tested a heavier GTO(N/A too) 3700bl with a 3200 TCI and ran a 1.43 60ft with a similar setup, I though that my Camaro will do much better with the full suspension that I have and the less weight (600bl difference)+ATI 5500, what could be possible reasons for this 1.6 60 ft? I want at least 1.4 like the GTO. Please I need your advices. No trans brake on both cars.

will do that with the 90/90 and the manual shift kit. and will try the car (open headers) to see if the cat back (louad mouth) and the paceseeters y pipe is restrictive. anyother ideas?

could be your over powering the tires.Hitting them too hard.Need more info tire size, height,so on,does it seem too dead hook, or spin a little off the line.is the starting line real sticky when you walk on it, or is it real smooth(BALD).is there a lot of rubber on it,maybe it needs to be scraped off. Track prep is cruical before you make any changes to your setup.

i would suggest making a couple of short blasts ,like 100 ft and vary your launch rpm lower and lower to see if your leaving too hard.if your foot braking it try leaving at 3000 rpm or so and then drive into it,it might 60ft a lot better.if this does not work,i would have someone watch the car carefully when it leaves, and check the tire marks for consistency from each side to side.your suspension might be loading up when you take off,but it might be breaking loose when the front end comes back down,GOOD LUCK!!
