Default So I got Strange D/A Shocks, where to start?

I got some Strange D/A front shocks/springs, but I think I'm in over my head. Which **** is which? One is aluminum, the other is plastic, but I dunno which is which. I had strange email me instructions, but they're for the S/A's.

What is a good starting point for the street? The tracK? Car is basically full weight if that makes a differnce.

TIA,
Craig

The easiest way to learn is to clamp the shock in a vise and turn one **** and see which direction becomes stiffer. Then adjust the compression at 6-7 and the extension at 2-3.

I'm assuming that is for the track?
For the street should I go w/ more extension?

Just in case anybody looks, the holes in the bottom of the shock did not line up w/ the holes in the lower a-arm. It mentions this in the directions that I eventually got from Strange so I guess it's normal, but I sure wasn't expecting it. You just have to elongate one of the holes in the a-arm to get the bolt through it.
