Default Fabricated Tranny mounts... I need Pics!!

Im thinking this is the right forum, if not please move it.

to make a long story short i was doing some minor rust repair in the floor of my car when i got carried away with the sawzall and went right through the support for the tranny mount.

Its not a big deal im figuring on building some sort of drop crossmember and tying it into my sfcs but i want to see some pics for more ideas.

thanks guys,

-john

i dont have any pics, but use a piece of 1 5/8" .083 wall chrome moly with a double shear braket on each end on the sub frame connectors. then in the center use a piece of .125 flat plate with the ends bent for support.

so it was bolted to the subframes and thus removable? nice

its what we do on all our cars. On the race cars when we use a motor plate and mid plate, we go down on tubing size a little.

the nova is on the lift in the trailer, ill try to grab a pic tomorrow.

if your running exhaust under the crossmember, you gotta throw the cross-member in the tubing bender to contour to the floor for exhaust clearance.
