Default looking for pics of lightened front ends.

I'm about to take a cutter to the front end and was looking for some pics of a car that has the front fenders and nose off to see what and how much can be taken out of the front with out causeing any structural issues. Before and after if ya got em.
Thanks.
Dave

Here you go. I'll be using some chromoly bars to go where the yellow lines are at to mount a lightweight radiator and fan setup.

Does it still have wipers?

The area where the yellow line is, does that serve any purpose but to hold the radiator? Does it not provide any structural integrity to the front end.

Why use chromoly and not aluminum?

I mostly drive this on the street so I need something that will put up with that.

Also I heard you removed brackets and what not from inside the car (ie back seat bracket) what is the best, cleanest way to do that?

Thanks for the reply also.

I would say that yes this helps quite a bit with integrity of the front end. Chromoly, whily being slightly heavier is stronger.

If this is your street/DD car, id leave this mod out....

Spot weld drill bit or just a std drill bit. weld in the hole and viola, no brackets.

Heres a pic of my car with a lot off the front. If you dont hace coil overs to adjust ride height it will sit higher in the front, almost like you have no engine. I have drag springs in the front and it still sits too high. So if you plan on taking out a lot plan on cutting coils off your springs or get QA1's...........

Holy cow that thing looks like it is ready for the tractor pulls. LOL

I have the hals up front so I can adjust down if need be.

I already have off the front end:
fog lights
airconditioning
heater
cruise
emissions pump
windshield washer bottle
bumper beam
power steering
sway bar
Any other ideas for the front?

I have done MOST of the free stuff. Not much free stuff you can do.

When it comes to interior,

You can get some light weight carpet from Walmart and put that it for like $30 or so. It saves like 12 pounds. Rear seats and rear belts is a chunk of weight for free.

I have done most of the obvious stuff and some of the unobvious. I am to the point I am looking for stuff to cut off, I beileve most of the unbolt stuff is done. I want to know what can be reletivley safely removed with out giving up structural rigdity.

mine looks/will look basically like Dopefed's so no need to post pics....definatly lots of weight to take out of the front, and most of it is very easily done.

dave, get a tubular K-member & possibly lower A-arms (the a-arms if your feeling froggy). the install is a B*TCH but its much easier to work on and saves some weight.

put an aluminum block back in it
