3.73's or weight reduction? i need some advice, i am torn between getting (3.73 gears or 3.90 gears) or starting my weight reduction by getting a bmr tubular k-member. what do u guys think? |
do the gears the k member wont net you as much as the gear |
get the gears!!! I would work on getting more bolt-ons too before a k-member. That much weight won't be much of a factor until you have a very fast car. 10sec or lower. |
The k member dosn't lose as much weight as you think. I dout you would even see 1 soild tennth. |
Wait until you have to pull the engine for something to put a K member in. I would go with gears for now! |

I disagree. Weight reduction is the ONLY mod that always works. A gear swap in an A4 at the lower power levels are hardly if at all noticable in reduced ET. A light weight K-member, Light weight battery and a race seat will be very noticable especially since it's all from the from of the car. I would do a converter first if you are an A4. Like posted above though, you might be better off doing the main bolt-ons first (headers, CAI, UD pulley and a good tune). Good luck! |
