Default Ran Torquer v3 setup, broke nicely into 12s!

I did about 11 runs at Lapeer Dragway in MI. It was pretty hot, high 70s but all in all a good day.

I took my Trans Am. Last year it ran 13.4 @ 110.75 full boltons. Since, I have added a Torquer v3 cam, changed the exhaust (open cutout w/ slp dual/dual instead of rumbler), hypertech tuning, sfcsm and Gs-d3s.

Best run: My last run was 12.73 @ 116.23, .549 reaction, 2.189 60'.
Launched at 2000 rpm, hammered clutch and modulated throttle, powershifted 2-3, 3-4.

Any tips on getting my 60' down? I could not break 2.1, almost every run was that. I tried launching off idle, launching off 2grand and rolling into it (this worked best), and even 3grand (no dice). What should I try to do with my setup? Any other ideas?

Ran tires 35 psi cold with a lot of spinning so i let out some air and it seemed to help. for burnouts, i just spun the tires over to clean em off.

I didn't remove any weight over street trim (no spare though)

Still running stock clutch, this is slipping at high rpm shifts so i need to get it changed soon.

I am very happy with the first time going with this setup, i ran many 12.7's at similar traps.

btw, Lapeer is not the nicest track and isnt known for being well prepped or anything.

Drop tire pressure to about 20psi, get rid of the Hypertech and get someone reliable to tune that thing, in-car, dyno...somethin'. You'll see better results, I sure What suspension mods have you done?

I don't have hypertech, I did tuning with hptuners and a wideband.

Suspension: Eibach prokit springs, SLP valved bilsteins, 1le swaybars, rear suspension air bag, sfcs, stb, lcas, phb.

dropping tire pressure in street tires won't help. it will probably hurt you. get some dr's and that will help a lot more.

First get the new clutch in. Track prep will be another key factor. On street tires, you really don't want to leave them at 35lbs, but 20 may be a little low. Try to lower them to say 30lbs, down a "clean off" burn out. Try feathering your "new" clutch. Do little changes, and only 1 change at a time.

Practice, practice, practice. Obviously DR would help. All depends on your goals and budget.

Here are a couple in-car vids at the ceiling, launching at 2 grand. You can see what is going on, maybe you will be able to tell what's goin on.

I can hear your clutch slipping. I went from 13.3 to 12.9 just replacing a slipping clutch.

I went to Lapeer a couple weeks ago to check it out (just to watch). I may go there soon (after I put my car together) just because it isn't busy. I put in a torquer v2 and haven't been able to try it out. I also have an slp dual-dual. I expect my car should be just barely capable of an 11 sec run. But I'm hoping for ~12.2.

If you are on the stock 10-bolt, making the car faster at the strip you will most likely break it. The new clutch will hit harder.
