I have one, but I use it for circle jerkin, not straight lining

Seriously, after you use it a couple of times you'll harldly notice its there. Be sure to install install it properly and make sure your belts are mounted correctly. Good investment

I have used one for a while now. I still get crazy looks from guys at the tracks, not for what it is, but for "You spent that much on somethun' that don't make it goes faster!"

That's fine...what worries me more is racing at tracks like I still do that often don't have good concrete barriers, have light poles and timing towers too near the guardrails, and/or have grass inside the guardrails...this, combined with an ambulance that may not even start, fire equipment consisting of full bladders of beer and buckets, etc.

Two last things...1) NHRA, I believe, is making an SFI certified head / neck restraint mandatory for 9.99 and faster cars next year, and 2) You need to make sure your crossbar on your cage and is in the proper location (not too low or high) for the most effectiveness out of the restraint systems. The websites for the devices show what I'm talking about.

Take care and keep it safe. Dave
