Default Mizierre LS1 full race Electric water pumps

My 35 gpm Mizierre full race electric water pump went bad at the track last night in the second round of elims. Dang I won both rounds by cutting the tree 5.03 and a 5.14 and put the car on the trailer lol. I got 5 years of service out of the 35 gpm pump so it's about time anyway.

So, I need a new pump and Mizierre offers 3 full race pumps as I see it. The 35 gpm, a 40 gpm HD for a few bucs more but special order and a 55 gpm for quite a bit more $$$.

I can get a 35 gpm or a 55 gpm today but it will take 3 weeks to get the 40 gpm heavy duty. In your opinion is the 35 gpm sufficient for a 700 fwhp engine and is the 55 gpm overkill. I really wanted to upgrade to the 40 gpm HD.

I want to race tuesday night in the Independence day races.

Whats your opinion?

For a race car I'd take the lowest GPM, less current draw and it should be plenty of flow. Unless the car was getting real hot going down the track I would keep the 35. You can also send the old one back to them and they will fix it pretty cheap usually, keep a spare..

The 55gpm is the street pump I think, thats why it costs more money, has the pulley and other junk to make it a bolt on.

They rebuilt mine for $100, much cheaper than a new one and they fixed it within 2 days of recieving it.

Could you just throw a stocker on there to make do until you get another one?

Sounds like a good idea.

Also if you had to have one right away and can't wait on the rebuild you could get a new one and have the old one rebuilt and either sell it or have a spare.

They have a remote 55gpm at 10 amp draw. The 35 and 40 both have 8 amp draw. I'm going to try and find a 40 gpm. Too busy at work to go racing tomorrow anyway.

Thanks for the input guys.

What size lower inlet fitting do you have? On my old pump I think it is a 1-3/4" fitting. They sent me a 1" fitting with the new pump. I used the 1-3/4" from the old pump.

Here is the only number on the hose I am using. (E) 7188. Don't know if that is the part number or not. I believe I had to trim the hose to fit.
