Why are you only leaving at 1100 rpm? have you tried foot braking it as high as you can rev the motor without rolling?

Looks like you spun in that video, and did not get much weight transfer.

I'd try different techniques with your converter too, and see what it likes the most.

Well it is really closer to 1500 rpm I leave at. I tried it once at the 1/4 mile track it didn't really 60ft any better.

It will stall to 3500 on the foot brake.

You really think it spun? It picked up the front tires briefly, next time I go I will white mark the tire and film it. Seperation is very good in the front end and it stays that way through 1st gear. When I stall it up(the two times I did it) It picks up the front tire a foot and carries them a few feet. But it does not 60ft any better.

So did you spin in that vid? If so you need to focus on that. The more marginal the track the softer I run the rear shocks. But Madman told me to keep the 325's around 17-18psi, so I would try to run them at least at 15-16psi to start.

I could be mistaken, but it looks like you some spin in that vid... I can pick up the tires even on a 1.61-1.63 pass with tire spin.

I tried that, it tire shakes the teeth out of your head at that psi. At 12 psi it stops and the 60fts go down. I have not went lower than 12 psi yet. The rear shock settings do not seem to affect it much, nor does the RR airbag. The fronts affect it ALOT. I got it to 1.58's and tightened the front shocks up 2 clicks to work the tire harder and it started tire shaking with no other changes.

Think I should raise the front ride height some? Also these tires are BFG's not M/T's. Will more pinion angle help, I was taught pinion angle will not affect bite. Kep in mind this car has a 3800lb raceweight.

It just looks underpowered when you first take off. Like there is a slight hesitation right when the tire first hits.

The car doesn't plant the tire and launch, it kind of rolls out and applies the power.

I would try to work at launching it at a higher rpm.

what's the pinion angle at now?

It looks like when a small tire car rolls out then grabs the nitrous a few feet out.

-1* Everything in the rear is heim ended, nothing moves.

In the car I feel no stumble or hesitation.

Thanks for the input guys, keep the help coming.

Only thing I can think of if it isn't spinning is to try to launch it with more rpm trans brake time

A trans brake on a 4L60E? Never seen one.

I will stall the car and start there....then maybe my rear adjustments will have more affect on the car.

I am gonna take a break for a few weeks, wait for it to cool off some more and do some stuff to the car. I want a 10.99 slip BAD! A 3800lb 23* headed pump gas 383 LT1 in the 10's all motor streetcar is pretty cool(or so I think). That was the goal when this project started. ANything after that is gravy.

@ 120 mph you're going to have to run about a 1.47-1.49 60ft.

When I ran that 120 I was shifting the car(badly I might add) and the converter was not locking at 95 mph like it was supposed to. That has since been fixed. The trans shifts at 6600, and does it quicker. And the converter locks at 95 mph. With less fuel in the tank and cooler air I think I can get there.

And I think the car SHOULD sixty foot in the low 1.50 high 1.40 area.

These drag radials are 4 years old, they were inside...but still old.
When I bought them there were no other ones except BFG's That is all you could buy.

Lay off the cheeseburgers Dave. That couldn't hurt. Did you make room for taller tires? We could hook you up with a set of our take-off 295's....

I would either use a M/T or Hoosier drag radial, you can remove the front and rear bumpers, thats 40 pounds right there.

Remove the passenger and rear seat when you go to the track thats like another 50 or so pounds.

Go on a diet thats 10-20 pounds lol.

a/c and all the heater crap and ducting is a lot.

The strange front brakes drop 50 pounds off the front and you can run 15's without a spacer.

k-member and a arms around 35 pounds less.

2 1/2" springs vs stock size springs.
