Any SBC pulley will bolt to an ATI damper and all the blower pulleys are the same. i'm sure ATI makes a SBC cog pulley or two.
An F1R will bolt to the regular brackets, thats not a problem. An F2+ is a different story.
IMO there is no reason to use a cog on an F1R and down on an LS engine, the SDCE 8 rib will handle it fine if set up right. I'm turning a 5.4:1 F1A nearly at max (73K) with no signs of slipping at all with one and I wouldnt hesitate to try a F1C or F1R if I needed the airflow.

A guy I work with on here has a 408 LS1 TA with an F1R on the max pully he just trapped at 130 ish bogging threw first and second (six speed car). Pump gas and no meth.
Like KP says his mounts up just fine. Its the F2 and higher that need custom mounted.
There is a LT1 D1 car on here about to break into the 8's.

Getting the 8s with a D1SC wouldnt be that hard with the right car, I ran 9.17 @ 149.8 with the D1SC but havent been using it lately. I'll have to toss it on and see how it does with the new heads and cam one of these days, be pretty funny if it cracked an 8 with the D1 instead of the F1A lol.
But seeing F1R cars (non LS1) have been in the 7s I cant see a reason to go to the F2 just yet unless you just want to do it - nothing wrong with that.

what would be the negative side effects? this is no longer street driven but only to make the cruise for the racing series im in... alot of turbo guys around here were banned from using intercoolers a few years back so they upped the CR a point or 2 and ran faster without the A2W IC...

i figure if i can get the motor to make enough power NA then i get a suited cam shaft i should be able to only push about 10# (with a larger blower... looking for volume not boost) or so and not heat up the air enough to need a IC... unless i start running 1/4mile...

Steve did you talk to Lee at ASP in Houston for all the pulleys?
Ronnie's cars ran cogs, none of them ran 8 ribs. At one time I think Ronnie even tried a chain drive.
I have a friend with SBF, X-Trim, cogged, how about 5.30 and 132mph in the 1/8th in testing.

I dont know really, I just wanted a 'little' more at the time. In retrospect I probably should have went with an F1R or F1C, either way my 150.00 intercooler cant keep up with the F1A so I assume the F1R would be even worse. No doubt the F1A makes more power then the D1SC so I dont think it was a bad move..

Well Brady is traping 150 in the 1/8th I think.
My F1R buddy and are ar both shooting for 150 in the 1/4 next year.
They might be 130 in the 1/8th, who knows. Its not as hard as people think. With amuminum heads off a 4X4 my car went 136 in the 1/4 on like a 150 shot and it will handle a lot more juice and that was spraying out of second I think.

So far I have talked with Lee at ASP, Called Reicharts (SP?), Procharger, Vortech, ATI, and a list of others. Not one person has recommended a cog setup even for a track car. 12 rib may be an option. SDCE swears that the 8 rib is all I need. Not 100% bought into that yet.
Got a guy I know that did an F2 on a 88 vert. I should see it run tomorrow. I'll let ya know how it goes.
