extra metal- ~25
extra wiring- ~10

I assume its not a street car since you can't roll down the lexan windows????

Hope you make the weight man, good luck.

He's just talking about the lexan in a lightweight hatch, the car still has power windows/locks.

i heard some people say you can installthe lexan into the stock regulators and roll up and down now i assume youd need to hold it or roll it up while the door is open

manule drag brakes- ~100lb's ---- is this front and read because the fronts were only 64 i though?
a-arms- ~15 -------?? i think the uppwer are the same as stock weight...the lowers sve 2 pounds each
manule rack- ~10 -----the rack itself is heavier than stock...the ps pump might weight 10 though....

then i still can do a vfn hatch and lexan window- ~100 ------ hatch and window i think might be 80...i think the glass is about 65
then a windshield----- ~50 front window is prolly 40

i wanna know whats all missing to get it 2799 with you in it? or are you saying the cars weight itself?

Hopefully one of those with the pin-on hatch and lexan, both front and back, will chime in. It is not 150lbs. I know that. I inquired about it a while ago, and it was a lot less than that.

A-arms you won't save that much. I swapped out my stock k-member and upper & lower a-arms, and it saved 40lbs total. All of it was chrome moly too.

Rear Bogarts won't save you 40lbs unless you have 22"s with high profile rubber on your car now. Remember you still have to put rubber on the rims...

And drag brakes don't save 100lbs. It is 25lbs for the back and 50lbs for the fronts (65lbs if you do an ABS delete and manual master cylinder with it).

You could run the chrome moly spindles for the front. Those save 30lbs over stock and allow you to run 1st gen brakes which are cheaper. That is what I am doing.

My car is 2800 right now and I still have to do the drag brakes all around, spindles, manual master, ABS delete, fab 9", Speed Glass, pin-on hatch, door bar removal, and a few other misc brackets that I need to cut out.

you can install lexan in the sides. it takes some custome fab work but can be done.

brakes- i want to do the lighter spindle setup. otherwise everything is 65. i wil be doing manule master and abs delete at the same time.

a-arms- i didnt think they weighed that much eaither, but the list above says otherwise.

manule rack- the weight list says its 10. i thought i read somewhere it was about that much in weight differnence

rear hatch/lexan- maybe, last time i searched i came up with close to 100
windshield- that was a complete guess

2799- is with me in it right now

I have 17'' waggon wheels in the back. with a DR. I willl switch to a bogart with a bias ply.

thought of some more
-mezier electric water pump

-radiator, found a race one for 6.5 lbs. Does anyone have the weight of a stock one?
-single fan, should be good for another 5 or so

does anyone know how much a madman TA weights? I have a heavy *** steel sphon TA

need to cut-
frame in front of k member, or at least hole saw it
cowl area
a few other random brackets
make a lighter dash brace, im sure there is some more weight behind it i can find
maybe mini-tub
im sure i can get creative in a few areas that come to mind...

I only weigh 120-130

I picked up a lt1 radiator which is a little bit thicker and it weighed every bit of 15-20 lbs

for a list it would really be a copy paste of the weight reduction list.
Maybe these pictures would answer any questions.

If you are wondering about any specific parts let me know

Dump the MAF and just put a cone filter directly on the TB. Taking the lid/filter/maf/bellow off should save about 5lb right there.
