Default Can you guys help with the 60' blues?

I am starting to get concerned here. I have an m6 with a 12bolt(4.10), and I have been trying to run on Bfg's. I have done: lca's, relocation brackets, and hals up front, oh and I have a spring in the right rear. I went to the track and the best i did was a 2.0x. I do want to hook up on drag radials, if possible. Is there any hope? Is is the gears? What is wrong here I need to do something different.

How much practise do you have on the new setup?
Have you tried different rpms and slipping/dumping the clutch??
It takes time to get down the way your car will hook. Also weight and track prep go a long way to 60's.
With stock tires I used to hold the rpm at 4000 and slip the clutch out of the hole(verge of losing traction)and got numerous 1.90's.If you dump the clutch you will shock the tires into spinning and lose 60's if they don't start to hook within 10'.

How much air pressure are you running? What is your launch rpm? How well is your track prepped? There are alot of variables. Are your shocks adjustable? Are you spinning on lauch and most important how well do you heat the tires?I tried using Nitto Drag radials and had the air pressure at 15psi and did a huge burnout and they never hooked. My home track doesnt usually prep well on test and tune day though.

I thought bf drag radial like lower tire pressure, I remember on my old car i had it around 14psi.I run my nittos at about 18psi hot right now.

If you really want to cut your 60 ft times invest in a set of ET Streets.DR have a hard time hooking up a stick car when driven agressively.Set the streets at 12psi do a nice smoky burnout and dump the clutch at 6000 rpm.Hold on and enjoy.

Try playing around with tire pressures. I think 20psi is too high.Heat the tires real well.Let the clutch out fast but dont sidestep it you will shock the tires.

I agree with the above- ET Streets @ 12-13 lbs, 5500 rpm and you should get a 1.7x 60'.
