Sponsorship lettering?
I'm putting some lettering of my business on the car for business and tax purposes. I have a pewter 2000 SS. I was thinking Black lettering with maybe red or silver outline. Does anyone have pics of their lettering or experience with this. I could do just the windows maybe. Post pics if you have them. Thanks. Just trying to support the racing.

Seriously, he built the car to run on Pinks, and got sponsors to help. The car was built for that purpose, it wasn't an already built car that he "marketed" for sponsorship, if that makes sense.

There are numerous ways to go about getting sponsers. Some information about the car, where you intend to run, what class, what accomplishments you've acheived (or hope to), as well as what kind of return they could see on their possible investment.
Example: If a company gives $500 of product to a racer, a short write-up, photos of the part/parts install, and running a sticker or decal along with reports on how it works would be a minimum return on investment I'd think. It's sort of how magazines work with product installs and features.

I usually go with white lettering, since it's the easiest to see. Or, the clear letters with a black background always works. I believe sponsorship is somewhat hard to achieve. You really have to put yourself out there and race at different tracks/events to get people to notice and also be a "good" racer. Anyone can go out and pull 8's-9's seconds in a stock car, but how are your reaction times and are you competitive? I sent "race portfolios" to several sponsors that I have their parts on my car, and now I have 3 sponsors. Basically if you want it bad enough, you have to put some effort in it to get it. Or if you are like PSJ, just act like you are going to be on PINKS. JK, Oh, but wait, I was on PINKS before for a few seconds.
