Oh and almost forgot to mention, picked up a new tow rig as well:
That was the day after I brought it home a couple weeks ago, the previous owner had some tacky chrome strip on the fenders, I pulled it off and it looks a lot better, couldn't find my good camera to take a pic after pullin it off, so I snapped a pic with my camera phone:
And a nice bonus, the truck already had airbags in the rear, so I guess the previous owner towed with it too:
Anyways, it's a really nice truck, fully loaded with every option and very comfy and nice ride! I had an F250, but I couldn't take the gas mileage anymore, it was killin me with these gas prices, was gettin 12mpg on the highway with it and it was weak as ****, damn garbage 5.4 ford motors, haha! The Silverado is doing much better on gas and has about half the mileage my other truck had on it (had 114,000 on the 250 and this one has 65,000) and way more get up and go and I really didn't need a huge truck just to tow my car with, the Silverado tows great, just had my girls GTO on it today, had to pick it up after work from the body shop, we had a tire that the tread decided to seperate on the highway and destroy the bumper and underside of the car last month and we're finally gettin it back now, took forever for parts!
PS - The ugly gay *** little white aveo in the backround of the one pic was my girls rental car from the insurance company, boy was she hatin life!!!

Hahaha, i've come close to that before as well and pedaled out of it, i've never actually let it get there, this is the furthest i've ever let it go before pedaling down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey1j68Rs034
I tried limiters for like the last 3 months before the car went down, but I could not get the car to hook with them, i'm gonna try a progressive with the new setup and if it doesn't work to my liking i'm puttin wheelie bars on it and leaving on everything like I usually do!!!

But at least you still got a 9 second pass otu of that LOL. I was trying for a 9 second run for my nhra lic when I did that
Then the next run I back the jet down to 100, purge the bottle down to 900, tighten the front shocks up another click, leave easy at 3500 and then stab it, and it runs 10.03.
After that, I was like to hell with it I'm calling it a day LOL.
I ordered the limiters today, I'll get them on and talk to Madman, see what he says, with the way my junk was running, I think they may just solve the problem. Look at the rear tires, they're 28x10.5S et drags, stiff sidewall and they're getting kileled with 13 psi in them on top of it.
Next trip, I'll have the limiters on the car, and with whatever suggestions that madman has as far as the shock adjustments go, and see what happens. I'm also gonna up the air pressure to 15 and leave the bottle pressure at 950. I know it will go a 9.8 power wise with that jetting/bottle pressure, I'm just more concerned with getting the car to calm down a little, and try to get the 60 foot times in a consistant low 1.3 range.

And that was only a 75 or 100 shot in that pic (can't remember which, was trying to dial the car down to keep out of the 9's for pinks all out last year cuz I wasn't legal for 9's yet).

If I can't get my lic runs in the week after next, I may find myself doing the same thing for pinks allout in july @ etown
I'll have to get some 75 jets and just run it as hard as I can, it will probably be a 10.0 car like that. Not what I really want to do, but I'll do what I have to.
The wheelstand, if that was done there, I'm sure it would have made TV. Front tires touched down a little after the 300 foot mark

You don't need anything special for the throttle bracket.. Just get one for a 4150 carb and it should work just fine. I believe mine his a CSR or whatever they are called..
