Can you guys help me with rims/rubber for my H/C car.. I have a new set-up coming w/ a 12 bolt. I will have 4.10's. I have Eibach Sportlines... which I do not want to get rid of. The car will see much more street driving than drag strip action. I probably can't go 28" tall can I?? I was thinking about a set of 26" Hoosier QTP's or something from MT (street of drags). Also what rims do you guys reccommend.. Weld, Centerline...etc. I am not very educated with tires/rims for drag racing... so please bare with me. Which ones need wheel studs, and which ones don't... and which rims need the grinding of the calipers?? Thanks a lot in advance... I want to get something fairly soon... because my stuff will be installed in a couple weeks. |

Re: Can you guys help me with rims/rubber for my H/C car.. Just a little feedback would be amazing guys!!! |
Re: Can you guys help me with rims/rubber for my H/C car.. Maybe try the Wheel section of the site? |
Re: Can you guys help me with rims/rubber for my H/C car.. For the rear, I would recommend 27x11.5 Hoosier QTP's on 15x10 rims (whatever you like best) For the front, Pep Boy specials on 15x3.5 rims (whatever you like best) |
Re: Can you guys help me with rims/rubber for my H/C car.. If you can afford it, get the lightest rims you can get to reduce your rotational weight. I used bogards. A cheaper one convo pro which is fairly common on F bodies. The Mickey Thompson 26.10.15 slick is a good tire at the track for the track. The rear tire mention by WILWAXU is also a good tire. Cheers.... |

Re: Can you guys help me with rims/rubber for my H/C car.. Can I do the 27" tall Hoosier with the sportlines on the car? If I were to ge the convo pro's is there anything that I need to grind/shave/pound... to make them fit? What sizes for tires and wheels do you reccomend that are good and require the minimal amount of work to make them fit. I know the Bogarts are good... but I do not want to spend that kind of money on drag rims. Does SLP still sell the take-off 16" rims for $50? |
