Based on ET and Weight the car estimates out to 1,024HP at the tire.
Based on MPH and Weight the car estimates out to 1,180 at the tire.
Take your pick.

Hey Derty. What kind of power/weight would it take to hit a 7.0 @ 200mph? My buddies 2,000rwhp car runs that at 3300 lbs. I'm wondering if it would take an LS1 roughly the same amount of power.

Well, 3300 at 7 seconds is about 1902 RWHP or 3300 at 200 MPH is about 2060 RWHP.
In ARE's case, it would take 2016 RWHP to hit 200 MPH and 1861 RWHP to make it in 7 seconds. However more interesting is that they only need 1250 RWHP to hit 7.99. Now we just need to throw the slide rules away and come back to reality though. The car needs to maximize every ounce of that to do it. Which really is where the suspension and everything else comes into play. It's one of those things where if you are way off from these numbers it's not that you need more HP, it's more in line with you are not getting it to the ground correctly. Anyway, I'm preaching to the choir on that one. I'm sure everyone understands that.
These calculations are not LS1 specific, they are just based on some physics that someone came up with. I'm amazed how close my car is to the numbers calculated. These numbers also do not take into account DA. It seems that the lower ET higher MPH tend to vary more between the HP numbers than the lower HP cars. But after looking at the equations that makes some sense to me. There are several calculators and a variety of equations out on the net that you can use too. To each their own I guess.

To run NA would cost a ton of cash to reconfigure the car. All that being said it probably still runs pretty good on it's own, but 9's I would doubt.
Just my $0.02
