Is it likely to get into 11's with bolt on's? How possible is it to get into the 11's with high stall, gears, drag radials, and bolts ons headers+fast intake? |
Better if you gut the car... lol |
hell you don't even have to gut your car that much with the LS1, but if a gutted LT1 can do it with bolt-ons and LS1 sure should... |
PT4K, 3.73, 275/50/15 DR, LT's, ORY, Underdrive Pulley, and some decent air.. you should be really close... Steve "illusionalta" |
Plenty of people have done it, Very few have done it with 100% full weight car. I got close with my 135,000 mile shortblock, 3600 converter, and bolt ons in my sig. My 7.70 1/8th should have been a 12.0-12.1 1/4. My car also had a bad wheel bearing, pitted axle and stock 3.23's that may, or may not have impacted the ET. With a NA converter( PT4400, SS4000, or Vig 4000) and a set of 3.73's I'm pretty sure the car had 11.90's in it, add some prostars, dial in suspension, pull the rear sets and it may have gone 11.87-11.89. FAST intake would be over kill IMO for a strictly bolt on car. But will come in hady later on if you go H/C in the near future. |
no biggie at all did it with ls6 intake and stock gears and stock manifolds...no headers... only bolt ons were p&p tb, ss3600 converter, custom ram air, 75mm lid, 25% UD, cutout in the stock exhaust...ran 11.72 at 115mph but the air was -950 DA...so on a 0 da day high 11s... |
You should be able to run it with the mods that were listed. Let us know how it goes |
i was headers away |
