Air Bag Sensor Under The Console. How Do You Take It Out

Default Air Bag Sensor Under The Console. How Do You Take It Out

Putting in a aftermarket shifter and taking out the air bag sensor can i just unplug this without it going off

i would undo the battery and wait an hour. then pull the fuse.

might be overkill but i hate messing with airbag stuff

Thats what I did...just be careful how you handle it until its unplugged. But I just unplugged it and then unbolted it. You're talking about the sensor under the center console?

yea has a yellow plug in that looks like you can pull out then it plugs into the box

Ive pulled a zillion of these over the years... If you unplug the battery first and then unplug it you'll be completely fine... Never had a problem. If you're really worried, sit in the back seat when you do it

But no really its no big deal... Ive never found the airbags on these cars to be too overly sensitive or quirky.

I disconnected the battery then unplugged the module and removed the bolts

I just unplugged the thing. Didnt unplug the battery or anything.
