New Best with low dollar heads/cam M6
I made it to the 1/8th mile track last night to try and test out my clutch (M1 clutch from Nitro Dave's) to see if it was going to hold with my new found power so each run I made I launched harder and spun the motor higher, by the end of the night I was pretty confident the clutch will be just fine
Keep in mind the car is setup for nitrous and these were all NA runs (4.11 gear, 28" tire, and a "nitrous friendly cam")
run 1:
60'----- 2.02
330'--- 5.39
1/8---- 8.09
MPH--- 89.45
run 2:
60'-----1.87
330'--- 5.25
1/8---- 7.85
MPH--- 91.21
run 3:
60'----- 1.75
330'--- 5.02
1/8---- 7.64
MPH--- 92.73
run 4:
60'----- 1.66
330'--- 4.87
1/8---- 7.50
MPH--- 94.02
run 5:
60'----- 1.62
330'--- 4.74
1/8---- 7.32
MPH--- 94.97
Raceweight 3620 (weighed at the track)
DA started at +2200 and ended up at +1950 by my last run
The last run was made launching at about 5500 rpm with a small amount of wheel spin right off the line and shifting at 6600 so I know the car has some more in it.
I will be making a trip to Waco in a few weeks for Dyno tuning the car at Nitro Dave's without the restrictive *** spintech muffler on it and then hitting the 1/4 mile track that night to see what the car does. I will be sure to post my progress.
Total money involved in the swap was just under $1150 and a day of work pressure washing David Nickens deck at his lake house, David Nickens is the Owner of Nickens brothers racing (pro-stock Team) for those who didn't know.
I have to thank Brian "Lumpy" from Lump Cylinder heads, Craig from GTP, Moe from Nitro Dave's for the small amount of tuning he has done so for and the Dyno tuning that is going to be done in a few weeks, and especially David Nickens for "Hookin me up"

Re: New Best with low dollar heads/cam M6
Thanks for the compliments! I guess I should have given some specs on the heads and cam I have lol. The heads are a stage I port job by Lump Cylinder heads (Houston). They have stock valves and a REV Dual spring setup, the heads were milled .005 for straightness. The cam is a comp XER .588 /.595 228/232 on a 112 lobe. Moe from Nitro Dave's raised the rev limiter and tuned the car to a somewhat driveable condition (until they get the dyno in for dyno tuning)

I think the 28" ET Drags will be perfect for the car when it has a 150 shot on it I will just have to "put up" with the car being a little slower on motor with the 28's on it.
Vents- can you shoot me an email with pricing on some C5R heads? badhabitbird@hotmail.com
Thanks
