11's so close

Took my car out for the first time with the ET streets learned alot first pass just opened the cutout and went
ran a 12.73 @ 112.42 mph with a 2.219 60 foot

2nd pass droped the pressure to 18psi and went 12.138 @ 115.06 mph with a 1.786 60 foot

3rd pass droped the pressure to 16.5psi and went 12.050 @ 114.88 mph with a 1.741 60 foot

4th pass droped the pressure to 14psi and went 16.699 a 59.73 mph with a 1.804 60 foot the front came up far and pulled me side ways on the track then I missed 3rd gear :bang: I was racing another H/C car and he only went 12.387 @ 114.21 mph with a 1.927 60 foot.

I missed my 11 sec. pass by .051 I know I can do it but I just need a good clean pass, car was realy unstable with the pressure at 14psi, at 60mph my car was swaying back and forth all over the track.

Anyone got some good advice for droping my 60 foot just a little but I need to keep the front end down I was pulling the front wheels up all night and still spining? I would like to keep the tire pressure up in the 15-16 range just for safety or if some one knows a way to help stablize the car with low tire pressure please fill me in.

When I turned the rear hals down to 5 on that last run the front came way up like 3 feet and then pulled me side ways. I got stock springs in the rear with hals, BMR cotrol arm, Panhard rod, Torque arm(-2 degrees) and SFC other the front suspension is all stock. I was holding the rpms a 4k then flooring it on the 2nd yellow and droping the clutch on the 3rd yellow, some where around 5k dump.
Thanks for any help yall can give me
FYI the DA was in the 1400's

Still nice times, with colder weather coming you will see easy 11s as soon as you get that 60ft down alittle more.

I dont know how much lower I can get it. I'm picking the front end up while spinning the tires if I dead hook I am a little nervous that it my come up to far. I always thought it would be cool to be able to do a wheelie now that I have done it, I just want to learn how to make it stop.

Someone got some advice on droping my 60 foot and keeping the front end under control?

How much more traction power does it take to go from a 2-3 foot wheelie to one were I drag the bumper? I need to make sure I dont do this.
Thanks

The front will come up, then the tires break loose a little and it comes back down. Thats what it feel like any way. Couple of people at the track told me it looked like it was doing that pulling the front wheels then it would start to spin. I think I am hitting the water that the Fast and the Furious faggets are dragging down the track  Im going back in 2 weeks and got some my freinds bringing there camcorder so maybee I will find out for sure.

Stickier tires and turn the Hals back up. I'm really suprised that your car pulls the wheels up that far :) My 1.7x 60s dont even think about pulling the wheels up.

I have lot of weight gone out off the front of the car and it all went to the back. Theres no sway bar, cruise, A/C, PVC, EGR, 13lbs battery and bunch of other little shit. Then a 12 bolt in the back and bunch of heaver suspension.

I dont see how your yanking the wheels that high and only pulling mid 1.7 60 ft. You must have somekind of suspension issue going on , Do you have the hals on a stiff setting in the rear. Do you have airbags, Does your car come up evenly, Are you only lifting the drivers side really high.

Re: 11's so close

with that hals at 6 I get about a 1 to 1 1/2 of even air, with them set at 5 it was a little higher and the car pulled to the right pretty hard but also droped the pressure to 14 when I did that. I dont have an airbag in the car just stock springs with the hals.
