Default Hoosier drags vs. MT ET drags

which tires hook better for you or would hook better for me. i am a 6spd launching at 6k which hoosiers are better? soft or medium compound? 28x10 in the soft and 28x10.5 in the medium and the ET drags are 28x10.5 or 28x11.5. i havent hooked in a long time im looking for something to really grab hard. thanks

You need the MT manual tires for a 6-speed. Hoosiers does not make a good tire for the 6-speed.

My DOT hoosiers 27x11.5 stick like glue @ 7k launches.
I now have 29x10 Hoosier drags awaiting abuse.

I have run both,hoosiers are WAY better.

Everyone has their own opinon but I tried 2 different sets of Hoosiers with my 6-speed. I couldn't get them to work. They were way to soft for 6,500 rpm launches and 1.45 60fts. They make a great auto tire but not a very good 6-speed tire. The best tires that I have used are the M/T and Goodyears.

maybe that's why I can't hook from 7K launches I think a set of 28" tires are in my future.
