Default Upper Panhard brace

Is it safe to remove this brace? Will it have any effect during launch? turning?during a run?

Dont do it. It will let the rear end walk easily from the mount flexing.

i know of several people that have removed the upper panhard rod and not had any problems. most of the time, these are strip cars that have aftermarket double adjustable panhard rods.

So Steve, you mean you have to have atleast an aftermarket double-adj.PHB w/spherical rod ends I suppose, to keep the rear end from flexing/"walking"?

that's what the PHB is for, keeping the rear end from moving side to side. As long as the PHB is level w/ the rearend at ride height, you shouldn't have any problems at all.

I decided to keep mine and put it back on. After the car slaped sideways and bent the mounting tabs for the the PHB.

I was actually going to get ahold of Brain and Steve and see if they could make me one that clears 4in exhaust

the stock bolts are some metric size.. think a 17 or 18 mm socket takes em off. we always drill the holes out to 1/2" and use grade A bolts to mount
