The only thing about "Peddeling" is that you can't be consistant. That is the name of the game when braket racing.
I had mentioned throttle stop because it's cheap and very easy to put behind your gas pedal. You don't have to mess with the TB at all.

That of course is one way of doing things, but probably the most consistant.

Staggered start bracket racing is the same as index. Cut a good light, and fender the guy through without breaking out. It's all part of the game. First across the line without breaking out wins regardless of how close you are to your dial.

And depending on your tune, using the throttle stop may not let you enter into PE mode. Either way, you'll get it figured out.

Plus if you decide to add weight, remember it has to be bolted to the car. You can't just put a bag of cement in the rear or anywhere in the car for that matter.

The only reason I say this is, I've drag raced for 24 years now under the NHRA Division 7 Super Comp, Top Comp, Top Sportsman and advanced ET.

Problem with that is, get a guy that knows you are bagging and he can expose it. Dial the car up, let you get/keep the lead while bagging, then dump right before the finish line so you break out. I've done it plenty of times. Not saying it doesn't work, but as mentioned probably not the best solution.

It can be as easy as a piece of angle iron bolted to the floor and a bolt screwed into it.

Here is a quick example of what you would do if you decided to go this way.
