because he has a stock cb and h/c... if he had a good flowing cb that number would be drastically reduced... if he had a good flowing cb and no h/c it would have been <5rwhp
i have tsp rumbler, its basically straight 3" from y pipe back, if i threw a cutout on there id see 1-2rwhp at the most

I gained exactly 11 RWHP and 6 RWTQ with my cutout open compared to running through my B&B catback on the TA. Cutout was under rear seat before the over the axle pipe.
Makes me want to run stock catback and cutout on my next DD again!

I can understand possibly losing torque on the bottom of the curve w/ stock cam, cutout prob don't make much more power in the stock cam powerband

For the guys that run stock exhaust and have an electric cutout what size cutout did you use? The reason I ask is my car has the stock exhaust with a cutout on it. I bought it this way and now I am looking to get an electric plate for it and want to make sure I get the correct one. I can't go out and measure it being my car is still in storage. Would I need the 2.5"?

my cutout is right after the rear before the muffler i wanted it to seem almost like a cat back and it gives me alot less inside noise than the cars ive seen with the cutout before the rear. also gained like 1.5mph in the 1/4mile.

Ive got longtubes and a a 3 inch y-pipe. I still have the stock muffler on my car and my cut-out is in the i-pipe. It's loud as hell in and outside the car when open but much more quiet that a car with a catback when closed. I can tell a difference in the tq down low when opened vs closed. It feels like the torque comes on sooner when it's closed as opposed to when open. It's an electric cut-out, by the way, for convenience sake.
