J rod posted up his results. He was an 11.12 @ 125, but was having shifting problems. Our G5X-2 cam and head package was the fastest head and cam car there. We had the fastest qualiying car at an 11.009. As you can see the track/DA on qualifying day was not the best. J-rod got beat at the tree by Trevor but J-rod had a quicker et but lost the race. Maggie, who qualified first, had problems with her car and got beat by the slowest qualifyer on the first run.

Maggie'e car redeemed itself at the Tuner shootout for GMHTP Magazine last tuesday posting the fastest Cam and head NA time of 10.85 @ 123.8 with a 6.87@ 98.7 1/8th time. in a +1400 DA

what is the raceweight on maggies car?

also lou if you get the chance, to pm me.

what have you come up with the limits of p/v on stock bottom end. thunder runnign a 236 intake lobe, and you a 240 exhaust lobe We had a cam with a normally milled head hit pistons at 226/234 .600 lift

is a tighter lsa going to make tighter to the piston or give more clearence?

If this reply is in response to my comments in the other thread, then you need to learn one thing. Flow numbers are a nice thing to have, but they aren't the be all and end all of what makes power. But thats all been covered ad nauseum before.

Nice numbers I must say Lou. Does the new G5X-3 require flycutting the pistons?

Mike, this is a pretty old post. I'm pretty sure this is the car that was at the thunder shoot out. It ran 11.0's/11.1's....most of the day with added weight and horrid weather.

Hell, the common #'s are 405/390 out of one of our local shops, and they don't even run anything bigger than 230 degrees of duration. Soooo, 409/386 really isn't that spectacular when we're making that same HP and more TQ through smaller cams running through cats. If Evil wants to chime in, he'll be glad to enlighten you. Your car runs great, don't get me wrong........for weighing in at 3100 lbs(or less?).

Whos cam makes 400+ to the wheels on STOCK untouched heads??? Read the bottom of his sig. FASTEST CAM ONLY CAR IN COUNTRY! Was everyone esle just laying low?
