That would be worth a good 10rwhp at least and a solid 10-15rwtq across the range. Every little bit helps.
90mm throttle body can flow ALOT of power. There is no way that it is a restriction on this motor. The only way to squeeze this thing for any real gains from the intake tract would be to switch to a carb style or sheetmetal intake that will make power way up high in the RPM but overall performance (and ET) would likely suffer.

You wanna make it go faster? Put an auto in it.

Update:

Installed 3.90 gears. Took it to the 1/4 today

2450 DA

1.51 60'
6.71 1/8
102 mph
10.45 1/4
131.64 mph

Cant wait to see what the car will do in some 500 DA or less air.

damn that some good results!! raceweight?? I might have missed it...

but damn again, I need to get me a c5 and go racing. my heavy *** 525whp 3700+lb camaro only runs 11.0's at 124-126.... but I am only a Stock bottom 6.0L with l92's...

and as far as driver mod, I get asked multiple times if I have a faceplated trans... and NO it does not. Cause the stick shift class I run, no faceplated trannies allowed... so that mod is not a problem.

Guess my next mods will be !weight...

damn nice results!!!!!!

525 is killer whp with a 6.0 stock bottom end. thats about the same power most people make with a 408.

Awesome numbers but: A little disenheartening to me though as comparing my setup to yours. My numbers based on gearing and hp will certainly trap less then you did and throw in the fact I've never cut a sub 2.00 60 ft time I don't think I'll hit my target of 10.9 amd 130 mph in comparable DA. I'll need 500 DA just to come close.

What tire did you run, and what RPM did you launch from ?? Any suspension mods? I don't remember if you already mentioned this or not..... Good luck when you run again in better DA. Would 4.10's have made any difference at all ??

Tires were new 26x11.50-16 ET Streets. Suspension is still very mild and simple...probably hurting us. Bilstein shocks all around, GM T1 rear sway bar, no front bar. I launched the car somewhere around 4500-5000.

Raceweight is somewhere around 3300 lbs with me driving...I only weigh 140 or so. There is really no weight savings that have been taken out of the car. Then only weight taken off was the front sway bar. I think the 4.10s would be a little too much with the 26" tires. Oh, and the trans is just a built T56. No faceplating here.

Thanks a lot for the details. Unfortunately I got you by 108 lbs. LOL. MN12 gears, and 3.90 rear diff + 26 inch tire = kick *** combo for that motor.

How much more do you think she's got in it ? What RPMS were you crossing the 1320 at in 4th gear ? Did you log the runs ?

Thanks again for sharing. I am going to try to mimic what you did here, albeit I am going to have to heat these Nitto DR's up really well to make them stick. Hoping for good air to trap 130 also.

That's a great time slip. You are rowing the **** out of those gears. There is definetly 2-3 MPH to be had from better air but your ET is better than I expected with that M6. GRATS!!!

Spec stage 4+

It is not something that they advertise, pretty much a full face disc like the 3+ but with a solid hub and more clamp pressure. And yes stock main shaft.

The vacuum pump setup is from GZ Motorsports. Google their site and it will tell ya all about it.

Update: Went back to back 6.70s on a 1.51 60' last week and then on the third pass, either bent or broke a shift fork in the tranny. DA was a little under 1900 feet, had best mph of 105.7.

We will be down probably until the LSX Shootout.

Damn that car HOOKS AND BOOKS !!

I am truly impressed. I too went back to track. I hurt my clutch, started slipping bad after the 9th run in 4 hours.

I went 7.6xx @ nearly 96 mph with a personal best 1.9xx 60 ft time on Nitto Drs (555's) 305 35r18. They seem to hook best at 24 psi. Those zo6 gears and super sticky tires are making you a real track monster. I bet you were surprising quite a few people !!

Again very impressed, and thanks for the update.

I posted my numbers to show what the driver mod, gearing, and a killer 60 would do for my car. I'd probably see 7 flat in the 1/8 at 101 mph with Zach driving my car. Sorry for the hijack.

There is no comparison between a MT and a Nitto. Just a tire change will make you look like a much better driver.

I know that bro, I was just pointing out the 30 extra rwhp, better gearing (zo6 vs non zo6 tranny), 3.90's out back and added traction really add up to huge gains, especially in the 1/8th. I am happy as hell that I cut 3 tenths off my 60 and 4 tenths off my 1/4 mile ET. I thought 3 tenths off the 60 equated to a bigger reduction in the 1/4. More evidence my clutch was slipping.

Were not running a Z06 tranny. Rebuilt 98 C5 tranny, same gearing as your FRC.

Sorry man, I must've confused your sig pic with Nicks car. Still got 3.90's and 30 rwhp more.

Please don't think I am making a negative comment, but we all know the 1/4 is determined in the first 60 feet and you can 60 very well man. I'd love to have you drive my car as long as you don't bend the shift fork. LOL

How much do you think the 3.90's would help me out ? Not that I am going to change gears but just curious about your opinion. I'm staying street. Only one more visit to the track, maybe 2 but thats it. I can't afford to fix anymore failures. LOL

Good luck at the LSX shootout, I'm sure with your 1.5x 60 foot times you will put a hurting on the competition. Best of luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I run a built 3.90 diff in my cam only Z06. It helped the car out a ton around town and makes my little horsepower feel alot better than it did with the 3.42s. I feel that the 3.90 really helped Nicks car get out of the hole, it really seemed to be the perfect gear with the C5 gearing of the tranny.
