How do you like your vacuum pump?
Think it's worth the 20hp that GZ approximates?

Great results...more info. What are the cam specs? What headers, exhaust? Come on...show us a video.

Nubbz33 Jul 31, 2009 10:33 PM

I agree, we need the video. This is just like my new set up, i want to hear it.

Custom Spec cam, high 240s low 250s duration I believe. 1 7/8 Kooks with 3 inch X Pipe into GHL catback. The car also has a C6 rearend conversion.

This vacuum pump has been on the car since it was just a h/c car. It seems that it has been good for 5-7 rwhp on each motor.

Vacume pump,whats that???
I was told the 235's were too much for a 402ci. Anything done to the heads? How is the low rpm, street driving? I was thinking of loosing my l92's for some tfs heads.

I was wondering what a bigger TFS runner would've done for my motor. Now I know. Its awesome to see your 402 and the extra compression was able to make good port velocity for a serious amount of rwtq down low !!! My motor is only 11.39 to 1, and thank you so much for showing me what a good bump in compression would do !!!!

Congratulations on a very very strong setup !! How is drivability? Sorry if it was already asked and answered, I'm tired and lazy right now. LOL. Nice job guys.

Is this your personal car Nick?

If I keep my car I would be interested to see how much that C6 Z06 rear end conversion would cost. I will finally actually meet you guys at the dyno day and introduce myself, I know we have crossed paths a few times at mooresville.

Drivability with the compression up is actually pretty good. We put a 3.42 gear back in the car when we did the motor, but it isnt quite enough. I think Nick decided to go with either a 3.73 or a 3.90 so that will improve drivability too.

135-140 traps with some 3.90's and a tire. That beast is going easy 10's, just need to get out of the hole with it. Thats what I am hoping mine will do when I have a chance to go to the track. Best of luck with whatever you do with the car, VERY IMPRESSIVE !! That has definately got to be the highest hp 402 out !!! WOW !!

Great engine build results

I actully lost 5hp on my last setup when we did a back to back. You don't put one on for hp but for longevity of the motor.

To the OP. Great job to all the guys @ williams performance. I love to see others going after the na setups. Anyone can do it with a power adder.

What is this vacuum pump? Also, what about the 235 heads as I asked in my up top post? Thanks.

What about them? They are perfect for a 402 as if his power wasn't evident enough.
