Awsome #'s man. Allan can make some power for sure. It has to be the best combo yet if it is a smaller cam untuned. You want more power, let Allan do the tune on it. He did mine and for the mild work on my heads and small cam with only mac headers and stock y-pipe my car hauls *** for a 3725 lb car. All my times are on Nittos So I know with a little less weight and a set of drag wheels and slicks it has some low 11's in it.
Congrats to you ,Tea and Futral.

Easy fellas. Lets keep this professional, unlike every other Dyno thread. I am not trying to start a war....

I will not reveal the cam specs yet. I kinda like making you guys wait

And no, this is not the Judson port. Those are 6L heads. These are 5.3L heads...

These are the main mods on the car:
TEA 1.5 heads, FMS cam, Grott longtubes w/ 3 inch y-pipe & 3.5 inch collector, cutout, Hooker catback, Bauer TB, LS6 intake. Thats the jist of it. Everything else is the common stuff, pulley, free mods, etc...

Thanks for all the kind words fellas...

If indeed that is the case...then I offer my most sincere appologies. Although...more often than not, his replies to TEA threads are less than helpful, usually implying that this particular vendors heads are junk. Sorry....he's trained me to react in this manner.....

While I have no problem w/members helping each other, and try to post helpful/ usefull info whenever possible, the majority of his posts to any TEA thread is garbage.

I've said it before....I'll say it again....you want info?...you want the truth?...do your homework, and stop trying to duplicate other's mods in an effort to achieve your HP goals. The particular grind in question is a one off, and I don't blame Damian a bit if he'd rather not disclose the specs. He did his homework and guess what?.....it paid off.

Back to your regularly scheduled program in progress.....

Well put LowETz!!
I may be new here but I have been reading post on this site since day 1. It seems like every thread I read with the words DYNO results in it, some opinion(******* cause everyone has one) bashes on the sponcers products or the guys car. Just my .02 I don't mean to offend anyone.

By the way great numbers Damian, your homework paid off!!!!! BIG TIME

Great numbers Damian! Maybe I'll get a chance to see this beast down at SDR one day. With Ron's 9.96 run, Ryan's new motor, and Brandon's new motor, I'm really getting left in the dust by the Atlanta crowd!

Ok.. I think I figured it out.. is it a 229/233 591/.595 114 ? I'm just wondering what the advance is on it. I'm itching for a new cam. What RPM does it peak at?

Do I get a cookie for the right guess?

Awsome numbers Josh. I think you'll go a bit faster then 11 teens too. You wouldn't mind PM'ing a fellow TEA headed gear banger those cam specs would ya? I can keep a secret. Futral rocks. A buddie of mine has a 228/230 Futral cam on a 113, and it idles great. If my TR230/224 ever comes out, a Futral cam will go back in. Great power and torque for your combination, congrats. Now get to the track and have some fun.

The next go around is going to be brutal on the street around here. I just need to make my mind up. The last thing I want to end up with is a turbo'd car that is spooled up by a huge supercharger that needs 3 stages of nitrous to get rpms up enough high enough for the car to really get moving. I have narrowed it down to either a 382ci Stroker or 409ci Iron Block. I just have to weigh the pro's and cons and go from their.

Josh all you need now is Ron to drive your car for you at the track.

Wow, somebody knows how to use the search feature . Actually it's quite possible that I changed cams since then, or did I?

This cam made 400 rwhp @ 4xxx rpm's(can't remember and don't have the dyno sheet with me), and pulled past 6800

GOMER;

DUDE, your worse than me. Enjoy your 450+rwhp and be done with it as the old addadge applies, if its not broken don't fix it!!!!!! When you mess with a great thing more often than not you start going backwards. I would think you would be more than satisfied with your current set-up.!

I bet your cam is bigger then mine and I am still making a little more power then you and this is threw a 9" with 410 gears . I made 463 hp and 410 tq. they dyno was made at the Vette Doctors on a dyno day which all the ppl who had their cars tuned on the same dyno were 5 hp shy on the dyno day. my spec's are 224/228 580 with a 113 lsa. I bet you can't beat that

I have to agree.. most of the power comes from the heads. I am running a CARTEK x-package LS6 heads and a cartek custom cam. I would love to see the power I gain if I went with a bigber cam like what you have or a g5x3 cam..

Josh,
Congrats!! Those are awesome numbers.

My new heads should be ready next week and now I have to make a cam selection myself - maybe I'll get it right and end up with a great combo like you came up with. BTW - my old JPR heads and TSP cam never peaked either - it was still going at 6800rpms.

Congrats again man - and don't hurt to many people's feelings on the street around the ATL
