Default Weak Sauce Dyno numbers

Finally got my Formula Ws6 tuned...was not very happy with the numbers but it will only get better from here. Cam is a 224 230 581 592 @114, Yank 3000, 373's, ls6 intake, bbk TB, Lid +bellow, high volume oil pump. I think its pretty low and i was somewhat disapointed with it but i went to the track and the car went 12.1 @112MPH. I will have my ls6 heads tomorrow, they are going to fast times for a valve job, some porting, and milling. All i want is atleast 400hp or an 11 second NA car. The car has 80,xxx miles and is my daily driver racecar. Any comments are appreciated as well as feedback.

This is also through a really shitty home-made y pipe and a very quiet SLP 2OTL muffler

A little better weather and you'll have an 11 second car with no further mods. I've seen 10 second LS1s with around the same rwhp as you (automatics of course). Your track times and mph are better than a lot of 400 rwhp 6 speed cars. Looks good.

stalled autos are not dyno queens but they back it up with the e.t at the track. my car with just bolt ons and stall went 12.2@110 with 339hp327tq. i also recieved low dyno #s when i did my h/c. 224cam and bone stock Ls6 heads. 383/372. expect about 15-20 rwhp with those heads. good luck with your 11 second timeslip!

I told Larry at speed inc that if it didnt make atleast 370 to throw it in the dumpster out back...It was really cold that night at the track and the track was not prepped at all. I made 1 good pass and couldnt hook the rest of the night on 315 nitto's. Can't wait to put the heads on and bump up the compression a bit.

What year is you WS6? Looks and sounds good! Numbers are a little low, have you thought about changing the cam too with the heads? I just dyno tuned my car today after my H/C swap, and will have some numbers posted tomorrow, also went w/ 243's but with a custom grind and bolt-ons.
Is your 2 OTL factory or did you install, let me know if you wanna sell it! A cut-out will help with your time too at the track.

Its a 98 Formula Ws6. I took the firebird spoiler off and replaced it with a T/A one, and also put some speedline Ws6 wheels on it...they are my favorite. Honestly im pretty happy with the cam, before the cam my car would trap 104 so it has made a good difference. The 2OTL is not the original one from my car, it took me forever to find one in such good condition and its the only catback in my opinion that looks awesome with the formula rear bumper. I had took the restrictive funnel pipe out of the muffler before i put it on though. A electric cutout is on the way along with the 243's and some rear suspension parts.

Nice bro, I like seeing other Formula WS6s around, they are far and few. Good find on the 2 OTL, I keep browsing for one, but a nadda. Just picked up my car this moring, put down 417hp, 396tq at the rear. Stock 243s no work done and a custom grind with bolt-ons. And the cut-out was closed, lol. It freaking pulls like crazy thru my M6 4.10s, I really stoked! Get those 243s on and she'll feel like night and day!

Those #'s are about right for your mods, especially through the mufflers.

Who tuned the car? Whats up with the dip @ 5800?

Looks about right. My car made the same power/torque and went 11.7 at 112mph but had a SS4000 stall. Added heads and a 228 Cam then went consistant 11.4-11.5 with a best of 11.1 running it out.

Not bad at all. Are you still on the stock manifolds? If so, then that's a decent bottleneck right there that'd get you much closer to your hp goal. The heads will definitely give you a nice boost. That goal of 400 rwhp with the auto will give you a setup that's consistent 11's for sure, with good weather putting you very deep into the 11's.

Did you lock the converter when you made the dyno pull? That should make a difference.

That's not too bad. My car did 363rwhp/349rwtq with mods in my sig. I don't have any track times, but I have beaten a few 390-400 rwhp M6's. The heads should get you to your 11 sec time slip.

I'm curious, was the converter locked on these pulls? It makes a big difference in numbers.
I tuned a guys 228r cam only/yank 4000 car the other day. 325! unlocked and 383 locked back to back. thats the worse i've seen locked vs unlocked that i've done, but it makes a diff for sure. If you were running unlocked, i'm sure you have a 380hp car at the least!

Those numbers are good.

I dynoed my car w/ Yank 3500 and I got 318 whp, bolt ons, untuned. Next day, I took it to the track and ran the best of 12.2 @110.
