Default Texas Speed GTO Dyno Results

Here's the dyno results from our completely stock 04 Automatic GTO Opinions on the graph? Look the same as a fbody for the most part? Time for some Patriots!! Anyone wonder what patriots would do on a completely stock car?

No but I have a fair idea what a decent exhaust and a real tune would do to the car.

awesome that someone has already dynoed them. figured that would be the power the ls1 made. looks like they will really move well with a fat stall in them!

I think you are mistaking the GTO rated @ 350 hp for the GTP which is rated @ 240 hp. Just in case some were wondering - I believe C&D did a performance test on the GTO ran a 13.6 @ 105 mph.

I sure am. I don't think anyone has documented a head swap on a stock car yet.

Actually, GMHTP made a misprint in their magazine ( i think). It looks like they typed in 250 instead of 350. page 12

I believe that 240 figure came from a dyno test that was published in a Pontiac mag. Vinci's shop dynoed the GTO (auto) in 2nd gear and got the low number.

Speed Inc did some what of a head swap on stock car when the swapped heads on their stock internal Z06. They swapped them for RGR LS6s with a 1.85 slp rockers. They have since moved to bigger things with the car but heres the linky. Speed Incs Z06

There already was some testing done on the 2004 in aussie.

Vinci's dyno was down due to the "abuse managment" system on the GTO's...the car was sent over from aussie for my company to test our new CAI system. The one we got was an A4 also. The car picked up i beleive 55 rear wheel to bring it up to 295rwhp after resetting the computer to bypass the abuse managment..then 3 dyno's later it was back down to 240rwhp due to that damn abuse managment lol.I am not going to release the data on our CAI because I am not a sponsor yet..But it picked up alot..Abuse managment can be easily bypassed though with the new EFI live coming out or edit maybe as well.We didn't have the car vey long but They sure as hell are a sweet ride Nice number's man..GTO's are super nice cars and ya'll will be happy with your's for sure!Have fun!

Damn already breaking them in the right way Great numbers, don't hold back on the mods. When are you taking it to the track? Be sure to put some sticky tires on it so we can see what the Goat really does.

Don't modify it until you get some baseline STOCK track times for us! Then do a converter swap first and put some drag radials on it

Looks like the same output as a stock f-body, as estimated.

I agree with Tony.

1. stock times
2. tci3500+ and tires
3. heads or h/c...maybe converter upgrade....maybe just a cam. Gonna be tough w/o headers on there.
