A big thanks goes out to Ryan and his crew at RPM for a job well done and a for sure returning customer once again!

Overall I'm very happy with the car. Before the heads went on the car made 419/392 with a slightly smaller cam with the more aggressive XER lobes than what it has now. The car pulls wayyy harder now and is much more responsive to the throttle. Still getting 22mpg on the freeway also!

I have about 150 pictures and a handful of videos of the build thread I will be posting shortly. I will put a link in here to the build thread. Just need to find a computer and internet to use instead of my phone.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Wow great numbers. How big is the cam? Your bay is perfect looking. A wire tuck does amazing things. Can't wait to read your build thread. :hail:

That is one sexy engine bay...all it needs is for you to paint that intake and it would be perfect. The stock primer gray look of fast intakes bug me haha.

Awesome numbers too!

Glad its back running Jesse! Time to see how it does at the track now before you leave!

Cam is 234/238 .629 .630 112+5 LSA. The build thread is basically a rebuild thread after my car blew up on the dyno from not enough ptv clearance. But it includes when I first put them on and other stuff too. Should be a good thread for sure! Thanks for the comments man!

Lol I have debated painting that thing for a long time now but I'm just going to leave it be for now.

Nice numbers and the engine bay just makes me sick

Nice..

Red99TA 02-08-2011 05:08 PM

Great results. Get that thing to the track so we can see how it really performs. I checked AI's site and that's a pretty decent price for just the machine work if it supports numbers like this.

COOKIE MONSTER 02-08-2011 05:08 PM

Good #s now get it to the track and see what it'll do.

Very Nice Numbers!

That is stout out of 346 cubic inches :D

filmnews 02-08-2011 05:13 PM

Great numbers

djfury05 02-08-2011 05:14 PM

I plan to get it to the track if they are open for sure. I only have a couple weekends left before I deploy so it needs to hurry up and be nice weather around here.

The guys at AI are really nice guys. They really know what they are doing there. These numbers were attained on the stock sized valves even!

Awesome numbers Jesse! I'd live a rematch lol. I bet it pulls like a freight train !

djfury05 02-08-2011 05:41 PM

Here is a short idle vid of the first start up. Sorry it is so short I had to use my phone and there is a limit on it.

This is a video of when the car blew up on the dyno. You can't hear anything happen in the video but #8 intake valve broke off and blew a hole through piston #8.

*love a rematch lol. Stupid auto-correct. Haha

Heater 02-08-2011 06:06 PM

A. Since you didn't hear it blow up on the dyno, when did you know the engine was hurt?

B. That video of the exhaust is such a tease, as soon as it started it ended :D

C. Yep Vos, it's Heater

*02WS6TURK* 02-08-2011 07:11 PM

Awesome bro! Sweet set up and congratulations on the numbers. Looking good!

djfury05 02-08-2011 07:14 PM

Heater that last pull when it came down on decel and back to idle we started hearing a lot of racket like something tumbling around. So we knew it was something serious at that point and pulled the plugs and #8 was completely obliterated lol.
