Default FINALLY DYNO! Mayhem Motorsports Raleigh, NC

Finally got my car dyno'd today, went to Mayhem Motorsports in Raleigh, NC. Very knowledgeable guys, very friendly, good shop atmosphere, very professional in attitude. Best part is that they charged by job, not by hour, so for 7 pulls on the dyno and tuning with HP Tuners, I'd say I got my money's worth! I highly recommend them to anyone in the Durham/Raleigh area.

Car is a 2000 Trans Am, A4, with SLP lid, K&N filter, ported TB, ported MAF ends, Fernco bellow, MSD wires, NGK plugs, Pacesetter Ceramic Long Tubers, TSP ORY, Magnaflow cat-back. 76,500 miles on the car.

Here's my results...

Not bad for a 333RWHP baseline, no tuning. The improvements were in the max TQ and throughout the powerband. Kinda sucks she didn't put down at least 340, but oh well, I got my starting point.

Mayhem is awesome. Jeff tuned my SS and Jay is great with customer service. I had over 15 pulls on the dyno while we were diagnosing a problem and it lasted almost 7 hours and they charged the flat-rate for tunes that they always do; not to mention they invited us to lunch with them. A+ guys.

another +1 for Mayhem, they tuned my Cam/stall silverado (5.3 with TSP 228R and 3600 stall) and it drove excellent on the streets. Congrats on your numbers too, great for basic boltons.

What's next? Rebuilding the transmission, then probably LS6 intake, UDP, and figuring out what to do about the weak 10-bolt.

man makes me feel good about my dyno numbers on my intake only M6
I laid down 338 and 350 after a tune.

I know M6s run a bit higher than A4 but atleast I know I am in the same ball park as guys with bolt ons.

but im done with the ls1, I am going with a Ls3 Stroker

Congrats on the pull, now you have the HP bug like I do

Porting TB worth it? Yes. Only because of the throttle response you get. I had so much stuff bolted on and modded on my car, I just had to find out what she was putting down, so I went in for the dyno tune session. I think every lit bit helps, and if I didn't do TB coolant bypass, porting MAF ends, porting TB, and all the other free mods, it would not have been that high.

It used to be $350 for a cam or bolt-on tune. Everywhere else went up to $400 though.

STOUT numbers for an A4 and regular LS1 intake..really stout, almost looks like a happy dyno. Throw a girdle on that diff, fresh synthetic fluid and run it. The 4L60e is MUCH easier on the rear than the T56, may last you quite a while if you're not launching hard on slicks and a stall. Run it down the track once and see how the MPH lines up with your dyno.
